Choosing how to learn
Course, pass, membership or private: which one is yours?
Once you’ve decided to dance, the next question is how. There are five ways in at Beach Ballroom, and each suits a different kind of learner. Every option below comes with its real price, so you can choose before you call.

Group or private?
Most beginners start with a group course, and it’s the right call for most people. You learn with others at the same stage, you rotate partners, and it costs far less per hour. Group classes are also where you get used to dancing with different people, which is what socials are all about.
Private lessons make sense when you have a deadline, like a wedding or an event, when group classes feel too fast, or when you want to fix habits a mirror won’t show you. Every minute is focused on you, and your coach dances with you, so you don’t need a partner. Many students do both, and our page on what dance lessons cost works the prices out by goal.
A coach spots in one minute what you’d never see in a mirror.
When a membership is worth it
Memberships suit people who already know they’ll keep dancing and want structure. The Foundational Path ($249 a month) gives you 10 group sessions a month plus free entry to Latin Thursdays and Country Fridays. The Development Path ($449) adds two private coaching sessions and a monthly check-in. The Performance Path ($889) includes six private sessions, unlimited group training and priority instructor selection, for dancers training toward a competition or showcase.
Each has a three-month minimum. If you’d rather not commit monthly, private lesson packages are available without a membership, though they carry an expiry date.
Who should book the $99 consultation
You don’t need one to join a beginner course. It’s worth booking if you’ve danced before and want to be placed at the right level, if you’re considering private lessons or a membership, or if you simply aren’t sure which path fits. It’s 45 minutes with a senior coach, and you leave with a recommendation rather than a sales pitch.
