Prices you can actually plan with
How much do dance lessons cost? It depends on the goal.
“How much are lessons?” usually means “how much will it cost to get where I want to go?” So we’ve worked Beach Ballroom’s real prices out against the goals people most often come to us with.

Cost by goal
Try a night out
A Latin Thursday or Country Friday: a short beginner-friendly class, then the social. Free for members.
Learn the basics
A four-week salsa or bachata Level 1 course, one class a week, built for complete beginners.
A first dance for the wedding
Six, nine or twelve one-on-one lessons. See how many first dance lessons you need.
Train seriously
The Development or Performance Path, combining private coaching with group training. Three-month minimum.
How much are private dance lessons?
A private lesson at Beach Ballroom starts at $140 + tax, or $169 + tax with a head coach. Packages of 5, 10 or 20 lessons bring the price per lesson down, and they carry an expiry date. Wedding packages work out, by Beach Ballroom’s own calculation, to about $138 a lesson.
Private lessons cost more per hour than a group class, but every minute is focused on you and your coach dances with you, so you don’t need a partner. They make sense with a deadline, or when group classes feel too fast.
Group classes and memberships
Beyond beginner courses, group classes in ballroom, Latin and swing are booked with a 5, 10 or 20 class pass, with no membership required. If you know you’ll keep dancing, the Foundational Path is $249 a month for 10 group sessions plus free entry to the weekly socials. The Development and Performance Paths add private coaching on top.

What about the $99 consultation?
It’s 45 minutes one-on-one with a senior coach, ending with a clear recommendation for your next step. You don’t need it for a beginner course. It’s useful if you’ve danced before, are considering private lessons, or want a plan built around a goal and a budget.
Pick your starting point
The lowest-cost way in is a $10 social night or a $109 beginner course. If you’d like a plan priced around your goal, book a consultation.
